Description
Whenever you have a worm bin system for bait or composting worms, you must have a nitrogen and a carbon source. Both of these are critical for your bin health, especially when you are just beginning a new colony of worms.
Cardboard is an excellent carbon source for bedding and food for both earthworms and isopods (isopods get cellulose from it). Shredding the cardboard as small as you can get it will not only help the worms eat it quicker, but it makes for fluffier bedding, too.
We have taken the guesswork out of your cardboard sizing by offering you our pre-shredded cardboard pieces in either one or two-gallon bags. If you need a higher quantity than the 10 we have in the checkout options, please get in touch with us for bulk pricing!
