Our premium calcium blocks, discs, stars, and other assorted shapes are made in-house from the finest organic ingredients, with many being OMRI certified. Isopods require calcium to build a strong exoskeleton, to assist with molting, and for their babies to grow strong.

Where tortoises are concerned,  the calcium level of the food is fundamental, both for healthy bone and shell development, as well as the eggshells of laying females.

Calcium blocks are also an excellent source of calcium for other invertebrates like roaches, snails, and millipedes! *We suggest skipping the flavored varieties for snails.

Our blocks are made fresh to order, so the consistency will vary. They are not recommended for caged birds as they are not hard enough for a bird to trim its beak on; however, chickens and ducks have been known to enjoy pecking around on our larger blocks!

Shapes may differ depending on season and availability, but the size ratios will be the same.

Unflavored blocks, discs, stars, etc. contain 54.28 percent calcium carbonate and 45.72 percent magnesium carbonate, Spirulina powder, shrimp meal, and vitamins but not D3.

Flavored varieties will have fruit options of strawberry, blueberry, and vanilla in addition to seasonal options. Some orders may have more of one flavor over another, depending on availability.
